Liv-Glam - McQueen Stud Dress - Me - Model 6 - Front_001

Liv -Glam is known for having some of the greatest sales in SL. She is very good at stripping me of a ton of money every single week! I however score a ton of great clothing so it’s a good deal. Miss Jones, the avatar behind Liv-Glam also does fantastic high fashion photos   of all her outfits, but I just wanted to show you that no matter what your style, you can find something at Liv-Glam.

This new release called McQueen Stud Dress reminded me of the old slip dresses updated with spikes for an edgy modern look. This completely reminds me of the slip Elizabeth Taylor wore in Cat On A Hot Tin Roof. Just pair this dress with a pale skin with deep red lips and you get a great vintage glam Hollywood look. Just taken to 2013. This style is my happy place, it’s more me then anything else is in SL.

This dress comes with 24 different colour versions, most with silver studs, some with this copper studs. Lots of different colours to play with, something is sure to please, actually more then one version is sure to please. It was hard picking ust one colour to show. This dress being a new release is 375L.

Liv-Glam - Rhawnie - Still LIve - Spaces - Breathing Out And In - Front_001

If you want to get in touch with your wicked half, I would suggest getting one of Liv-Glams Monday sale items called Rhawnie 2. It shows as being Cheetah and Blue Jean material on the sales ad, but it looked Cheetah and Black in my lighting, and it just said Dark Priestess…Gothy to me with the head scarf.

With the right skin and eyes, this outfit goes from fashionable to eerie. I’m sure the more punky gothy types among you are already thinking of the tattoos and piercings you can add to this to make it even more dark looking.  Go for it! Let your imagination wander on this beginners canvas.

You can pick it up all this week for just 99L and see what you can make with it.

Liv-Glam - Candace Dress - LAP - Curves - Baby Got Back - Side_001

Bold, Bright and Colourful. A lot of today’s fashion icons revel in colour, never fading into the background, always making a splash everywhere they go. If you like to dress as bright as your personality, Liv-Glam has a this great dress called Candace, it comes with 6 bright colour versions of this pattern on the hud. This dress also has great curves to it. With Candace, Baby has got back, hips and a great narrow waist.

Candace is in this weeks 55L Thursday sales so it’s only 55L. 55L for 6 dresses, you can’t beat that.

Photo 1 – McQueen Stud Dress

Skin – This skin is from Gala Phoenix, it’s from her Jewel Set in the Gold Tones. It’s Black Diamond Make Up Version 2 in Honey (Pale).  It’s nice to see Gala Phoenix back, and her work up again in SL in the Curio sim. This skin 1.500 for one makeup duo pack alone or you can get 6 make up duo packs for 2,000 lindens. Pretty much a no brainer which you should get. All fatpacks should be priced like this. Then watch my inventory really explode.

Hair – This is hair 134 from Love Soul in Jet Black. I found it had a little hole in the back but putting a black hair base under it hid it well enough to make it buyable and enjoyable to wear. It and hair 135 are their new releases right now and are on 50% off as of publishing. This means they are 90L per single hair colour.

Nails – The nails I am wearing are from Izzie’s Metallic Nails. You get a rainbow of 40 metallic shades for just 199L. You also get the best selection of skin matching gloves around. She has 13 in her collections including a white which for some reason is much easier to get a clean match from, then other gloves I’ve edited. I know, it makes no sense, it shouldn’t work that way, but it does for me. I don’t explain SL, I just play it. It’s gotten so that her gloves are the only gloves I use, I have hers in a file called gloves in my prim nail file, and when I make a glove for a skin I label it with the skin name and keep it in that file. I just throw everyone elses gloves away, unless it’s a skin designer who has matched the glove to their skin. I hope everyone who wears prim nails starts bugging designers to do this.

Eyes – From Mayfly, these are the Liquid Light Mesh Eyes in Pale Paris Shadow. With Mayfly you get 4 sets of eyes with varying shades of the whites for 99L. You can also get the same package but in the old school SL eyes, for the same price, the choice is up to you.

Photo 2 – Rhawnie 2

Hair – I used the Boon Gathered Mid Hairbase in Black. This hairbase is sold at Boon and is made to be worn with a set variety of hair styles, and it looks like hair pulled back in a pony tail. It works well as a stand alone hair piece under scarves like this. It costs 100L for 15 colours. Check out the hairs that are made for this hair base, you might like them.

Skin – Glam Affair – Gio – Black Snow. I’m not sure where I got this, but it doesn’t seem to be on sale anymore in the store. It was probably an event somewhere. Have a peek in your inventory, you might have it.  The Gio skin line is still alive and well at Glam Affair though so have a peek at the other great make ups.

Nails – I am wearing a cheetah print nail to match the print in the top. I’m never one to pass up a sale, and this is a great sale. I got this nails from Fab.Pony. All their prim nails are 30L a set, and include nails for sizes 0, 5, 10, 15 and 20 hands. The Gold Cheetah set included 3 different versions of the nails, a straight cheetah  print, a french version with a black tip, and a version with a black half moon at the base of the nails. That’s a lot of prim nail goodness for 30L. These are some fun and pretty nails, if you like prim nails or just have wanted to see what the fuss is about, I would suggest going there and dropping  just a few lindens and trying some of these nails out. This is a bargain that can’t be beat.

Eyes – I used Mayfly eyes again and everything I said above still applies. This time the colour was Deep Sky Mesh Eyes in Dusky Cherise.

Photo 3 – Candace

Skin – This is a Heartsick skin from what is now Aeva. It was in the Devotion skin line, Eternity skin tone, and the make up is called Lime Twist. It doesn’t appear to be sold at the shop anymore but you can search your inventory to see if you have it already. The Devotion skin line in natural make up is still sold…500L for all skin tones included. There is a tattoo line called Neon in the shop, which looks a lot like the shadow used here, so you may be able to recreate the look, since the lips are close to the natural Aeva/Heartsick lips, just put a lipgloss tattoo on and you’ll be set.

Hair – I wore Amacci’s Sphinx hair in Ebony. This hair has a streak option that comes on a hud, I just picked the lime streak. It’s a fun play on an updo.  I paired it with a hair base from Amacci’s second set of hair bases. Both sets are free. The first set has a clean brushed back look, the second set has small tendrils of hair falling around your face. It’s nice to have options. I got the black pack for 250L. There are a lot of other single tone packs for the same price or you can get a fatpack of everything for 900L.

Nails – These nails are from Fab.Pony too, like above, and are called Gradients – Square Tip – Lime.  It’s a fun little design and comes in all the sizes mentioned above for the same price. 30 L.

Eyes – These eyes are from Aphotic Gloom, and is the shade Apple from their Claris Collection.  You get both the old SL eyes, both large and small,  and prim eyes for just 99L a colour. Or you can pick up the 4 pack of green shades for 199L. If you are going to get two, you might as well get them all!

Jewelry – The necklace and earring I’m wearing is from Luzuri, who is the new big name in jewelry for gowns. She also has some fun designs you can wear with dresses and this set called Tres Chic is one of them. You can buy this set in set stone versions for 400L for the necklace, earrings, bracelet and 2 rings, these sets are all metal change which is oh so nice.  The real fun however comes when you get the full colour change set which is 1,300 L or you can buy just the pieces you want, if your not a bracelet and ring girl you can be like me and just get the necklace and earrings. The necklace was 650L and the Earrings were 350. Now I have access to 9 gem stones to mix and match in the set or just to wear all one shade along with the 4 metal colours.  In the set above I wore mostly the yellow stone and a bit of the green stone thrown in. There are so many possible and beautiful combinations, you’ll be playing with it for months.

I took these photos on my Katink photo studio, using their studio textures. The first and 3rd photo are from their new Los Islas 1 pack, and the 2nd photos is from their Abandoned pack. All their studio textures have 10 full permissions textures in them so you can use them in any photo studio.

One of the designers I have been most frustrated by not being able to blog while I’ve been trying to get my computer fixed is [Liv-Glam]. In the length of time that it took a bunch of computer experts to figure out that some network circuits on my motherboard were fried, she has gone from a brand new name in SL to a big booming shop with tons of fans. Either she works very fast or computer experts as a dense as granite. I think it’s both actually.

A lot of bloggers will only blog completely original content, so if you didn’t make it all by yourself, they won’t blog it, but  I’ve always felt that I rather have a wonderfully textured template then an original item with wonky seams and just coloured with the SL colour palette. Texturing is an art in itself or so many people wouldn’t do it so badly, so I like to celebrate those that do it well and in my opinion, Samantha S Jones of [Liv-Glam] is one of those that do it extremely well indeed.

This outfit is Fall 2012 Hanna Trumpet Sleeve Tunic SP3, and it comes with not only  the above beautiful colour but with a hud that lets you change this dress into 12 differently textured dresses. Each one is textured with as much care as the one shown, all the parts done perfectly, not one big blob of colour and letting the gray tint fill in the details. Each of these dresses could easily sell for 200L each, but you get them all on sale today for 49L  for the whole kit and caboodle.  Those are words. Honest. Also, 49L is not a typo..there shouldn’t be a zero on the end of that, it just feels like there should be, logic dictates that there should be, but no, it’s a fantastic deal you should grab…NOW!

Right now there is a little mini sale going on in the [Liv-Glam] main store lobby, I don’t know why it is or when it ends, I missed the notice about it, and the notice tab is grayed out in the group for some reason, but let’s enjoy the sale while it’s there. There is this suit/dress combo called Westwood, which is a modern satiny black dress with tiny white polka dots with a hem that drops down to the back, right on point with this years fashion trends. The dress goes up to a low cut lace jacket layer and a mesh jacket.

This shows you the wonderful detail there is in this outfit. The lovely lace peaking out from under the jacket. The lapel of the jacket done in the texture of the skirt. The buttons have the texture of tarnished silver. This outfit is just 99L right now, you can get a demo of it by touching the display and choosing demo from the menu that comes up.

These shoes I wore with the outfit are also a part of the sale, they are called Eclipse Open-Toe Pumps, and they change with a texture change hud to 24 different colours. As you can see by the photo, they colour match skin beautifully and they can change size to match your legs seamlessly. The have a lot of different colours of nail polish and they have sound options as well, but they default to off and that’s how I kept it. These are very well made, sexy shoes, that were easy to work with. They are on sale for 99L, that’s 24 different pairs of shoes in one for 99L. You can’t beat that!

For one of their 55L Thursday offering of the last week (they keep them out all week long til the next Thursday), [Liv-Glam] has a full outfit called Fall 2012 – Nayomi Autumn Layers-Plum. When I say it’s a full outfit, I mean just that. You get the boots, the pants, the top/jacket set, the purse and the scarf. All this for 55L. Can anyone get even the boots for that elsewhere? This is a great outfit to wear now that fall has come to SL.

Just one note, the photo on the sales board has a different purse then I’m showing you here, this is the purse that actually came with the outfit, probably a bagging error, but wanted to show you what you got.

I wanted to show you an upclose look at some of the great textures in the coat, and the scarf. I love the bottoms she uses, it really looks like real coat buttons.

I also had one more ulterior motive, as part of the mini-sale, they have a 20 pack of lip glosses on a hud, that are for sale for 99L, and in this photo I’m wearing one of them. You can get a free demo and try one. I love the hud, because it lets you keep just one item in your inventory for all the lipsticks, when you want a lipstick, just click on the colours you want to try, try them on, it delivers tattoos to you, try them on, pick the one you want to wear, and delete the rest.  Easy Peasy and easy on the inventory, and I think I’m not the only one who can use help in that area!

Murderdoll…aka Ivey Deschanel has taken her normally fantastic prices at Sn@tch and made them even better, with a 4 day 50% off sale that ends tonight. Sn@tch offers fantastic clothing with amazing detailed hand drawn textures at prices that would be great if you were getting one piece, but almost everything you buy at Sn@tch is a fatpack.  The dress I’m wearing above is no exception, it’s called Silk Goddess, and it comes in two colour packs, Pales and Goths. This dress is from the Goths pack. Along with this sleek silver number, you also get this dress in red, gold, black and purple.

Now we have all seen SL fashions that are recoloured from the SL colour picker, and look horrid, this is not the case with Sn@tch, each item looks like it is originally drawn in the colour it comes in. So perhaps it is more fair to say it comes in different coloured textures then just in different colours. I’m no designer so I don’t really know how to accurately describe the differences, but I know it when I see it, and this is colouring done right.

Here is a close up to see the wonderful shading done on this piece…from the small tiny wrinkles on the hip…to the ruffles around the neck…to the gem brooch at the bottom of the neckline.

You can get all 5 colours of this gown now for just 137L. Even double that when it’s not on sale is a steal.

This is one of my favourite outfits from Sn@tch, it’s called Murder Most Grave and it comes with 7 velvet shades of corsets and the black chiffon layered skirt. For added fun the posture collar is included.  All this is just 125L today during the 50% off sale.

I find this a fun combination of naughty and nice.

Sn@tch isn’t all about dresses though and here is a cute shorts and legging outfit called Farewell My Concubine. This outfit gives you 6 of these sexily belted jackets, in Army I’m wearing, plus Eggplant, Sand, Mushroom, Rose and Slate, these sexy brocade shorts and the black tights. This complete outfit, and so much more can be yours today for 137L.

Sn@tch has literally thousands of items, for all tastes in clothing, if you like it, it’s probably somewhere in the store. Don’t  forget to check out her mesh items and lingerie and accessories. There is also a special outfit you can fish up for free for everyone who likes 7 seas fishing.  So head on over and get a little (or a lot of Sn@tch today)

This beautiful gown named Lavish is the latest mesh creation from Apple May Designs, and the first mesh gown that I have personally tried on and been 100% thrilled with. It’s a great design that has a sultry curves and wonderful textures. This is a gleaming lush brocade. I have a soft spot for brocades, I am a member of the SCA in rl, and everyone in the SCA has a persona from an area and an era. Mine is 1500 Italian, and at that time all Italians were bonkers for brocade. As a result I have a soft spot for the rich heavy fabric. This comes in 3 colours, black (shown), white and red. The black is the only colour shown in the demo, the white is shown in the store photo, and the red, well it isn’t shown in any photos other then a small square showing the texture, so you will have to extrapolate how it will look from that. The gown is only 275L so is very reasonably priced as are all Apple May Design products.

This classic mermaid gown with a small train is fitted extremely well. I have taken the standard mesh shape in small, as the small is the closest to my own shape, and put my own face on it, and this gown fit on it with no need to change a thing. If you buy many mesh items you know how hard that is to find even in items that claim to be Standard Sizes. What is even better, is that I don’t have any of the invisible patches around the edges of the dress, which is a big problem with a lot of mesh designs. The flair mermaid skirt makes this dress a treat to walk in, I looked at myself from behind and the side and the front when walking and it looked fantastic any way.  No legs kicking through, it moved like a mesh gown should. This is a great dress, go get the free demo and try it on today.

As an added bonus for this weekend only, Apple May, has kindly put out her Edith Necklace in 3 colours for only 10L each, above is the black and white version…

And there is a red and black version….

And for those with a taste for the more dramatic avant garde look, there is a pure white version.  This 10L price only lasts this weekend, so I would hurry and get it while the price is hot, because these necklaces can go great with any number of gowns, and of course are the perfect foil to the Lavish gown.

The beautiful skin I’m wearing is by Al Vulo! and is the Julia in Cocoa skin tone, red make up with dark brown and cleavage. I saved my lindens and bought the whole fatpack of the Julia Cocoa skin tone which costs 2800L  for 6 skins, or you can buy just one skin for 800L. If your a real skin addict like me, how can you settle for just one?

Al Vulo is special in that it’s really the only skin with highly blushed cheeks that looks good on me, most of the time with my face shape that just makes me look like a clown.

This skin comes with a huge amount of things in the fatpack. A lot more then I ever expected to get. If I was giving Al Vulo advice on sales I would tell her to give more details on what is in her fatpacks, because I wouldn’t have hesitated so long over buying them if I had known how much I was getting.

You get – mesh eyelashes…which I’m not wearing, as I didn’t have time to fiddle with fitting them yet

6 Shades of eyeliner on tattoo layers

7 lipsticks on  tattoo layers

5 lip glosses on tattoo layers

6 different versions of the Julia Shape ( no mod, so with how often one changes shape with mesh, useless in my opinion)

Each skin comes in light brown with and without cleavage and dark brown with and without cleavage

A lot of goodies for your lindens!

The hair is from Elikatira and is called Found. This is one of her new mesh hair dos, and as you can see from the picture showing the back of the gown, it looks as great from the side and back as it does from the front. I’ve never been in love with most of the flexi hairs in SL. A lot of them look like a boiling pot of spaghetti to me more then they do hair. The hair popping in and out of your boobage has never really enamoured me either come to think of it. That being the case I’m one of the people who has embraced the new mesh hair with a gusto. It encompasses the best of non-flexi prim hair and gives it a bit of life and movement.

This is an example where mesh hair works really well.  The only thing I dislike about it is that Elikatira does not have hair base tattoos to match her hair colours, and that I am starting to feel more and more is a necessity for hairs that are drawn back at the forehead. The difference a hair base makes to the front of designs like this hair, is astronomical. It would take Sheldon from the Big Bang Theory to think of a phrase for it, so I’m not up to the job. For this photo I’m wearing the Black 04 from the Elikatira Essentials Collection and I put with it the Amacci Hair Base 2 tattoo in Ebony.  Fortunately you can match blacks with other designers, so I can at least wear black in this design until Elikatira gets her own shades out.

The hair costs 250L for a colour pack, 280L for the Essentials Collection, which is 8 different colours from different natural hair colour family… head…black… or if you love it and want it all, the fatpack is 1,400L

Photographic Credits – I used the Katink Hot Box…This pose prop is a box that you pose within, which has 19 poses, and 21 intense exciting colours. The poses are all adjustable so you can move them around in case your outfit is causing problems or your avatar is too small or too large to fit an average pose. They have one on display on the top floor of their building, so you can go play with it today and see if you like it. You can buy it for yourself or gift it to a photography loving friend for just 500L. That is a lot cheaper then I have seen similiar quality items for.

Katink used to be called Props and Poses or PNP but they have rebranded as Katink and are better then ever. They are putting things out at an amazing pace. All group members get 50% off new items and they have great group gifts each month.  They also have great specials every weekend when they take part in 60L weekends. If you are an SL photographer or even just thinking of taking it up, this is a group you need to belong to.  The members are great, always willing to help out with an answer or two.

Last Friday, I found a “new to me” shop, Vershe, but I know she isn’t new to a lot of people, because no one new is this good! I got a message in one of my groups about her group  Freebie Friday, it showed a GORGEOUS pair of shoes she was hiding for her group in the store for free.  So I figured her group would have some horrid joining price. Nope…it was free.    Then I figured the shoes would be stupidly hard to find. Nope, I found them in like 10 minutes, and for me that’s pretty good, I’m not a treasure hunter. So I figured she must have very high prices on her normal stuff to make up for giving away great items. Nope..her prices are great! I’m wearing Vershe from top to shoe for less then 600L, no freebies or sale items involved. You know you have won when you find a shop with great prices and great quality, with an Owner with a generous nature.

The top I’m wearing is Vershe’s Belly Flasher in Cheetah. This top sells for an incredibly reasonable 70L each or a fatpack of 5 for 199L. I don’t normally buy fatpacks of clothing because I always figure that your going to wear your favourite colour and the rest are going to be ignored anyway, but they were all so nice, and the price was so right, I got them all.

I did however thwart the name, not flashing my belly at all by wearing the Vershe’s Jeanies, a nice high waisted jean. These jeans come in 5 pretty colours, for 200L each or a fatpack for 899L. That wasn’t cheap enough to tempt me into getting them all so I just got the shade version, a nice dark gray that will go with everything.  These are nice jeans though and I am a sucker for high waisted pants so I won’t be surprised if I go back for seconds.

What I really love are these heels, Vershe Stacka’s! I love them so much I bought the fat pack. It’s not a huge fatpack, it’s only the four shoes above, but I had to have them all.  Now she needs to design something to go with the zebra shoe. The shoes are prim feet, and sell for a very very very reasonable price of 299L each or 999L for the fatpack. The one big advantage of the fatpack is that it’s one shoe with the texture change options on the hud. I love anything like this that lets me have less things in inventory. One thing that I didn’t show was that the shoes also have 4 different coloured heel options, a black, a white, a lighter brown and this the darkest brown. They all look good, I should have shown more then one, but it was late at night when I photographed all this and I just forgot the heel options were there.

Clothing doesn’t look great without great accessories, so now is time to talk about what I wore with the clothes.

One of the best nail makers in SL is [Virtual/Insanity]. This weekend for the last La Venta Eventa they put all their prim nails on 50% off. This was a great chance to pick up a lot of great nails at a great price and boy did I take advantage of it.  These nails are their Bengal pack, which might make you think they are tiger stripes since Bengal is a species of Tiger, but they are cheetah/leopard spots, with 8 fantastic colours including this natural I’m wearing in the photo. They come with gloves you can colour if they don’t match your skin but the fit is so good, that I find you can go without most of the time.  You can see a little of my skin’s nails in this shot but in every day SL with my hands moving, that would be incredibly difficult to spot. Each pack comes with 3 different hand sizes and the 8 different nail colours offered in each pack are chosen by clicking on the nails which brings up a hud.  So if you only have one shape or if all your shapes have the same hand size you can toss out the unneeded hand sizes and just keep the gloves and two prim pieces in your inventory per set.

The sale is suppose to have been over at the end of the weekend but it’s still on monday morning at the time of writing this blog, so hurry in while the great sale prices last, but even at regular prices of 150L a pack, these nails are well worth purchasing.

The hair I’m wearing is from Love Soul, and I love it. It’s simple, it’s elegant, it’s flattering…what is not to love. I find Love Soul’s hair a bit pricey, as you only get one hair colour for 170L, which is only 80L less then what I’m paying for 5 or more hair colours of a style in most hair stores.  So I really have to love it to buy it. Fortunately or unfortunately, however you want to look at it, they make hairs that are sometimes worth the price.  In this case I thought it was. This is style number 71 guessed it…Black.

My skin…It’s no secret that I’m a skin fanatic. Yes..I’ll leave the W word alone for now. I found this  skin at the latest edition of Structure Your Skin project. It’s by Mystic Canvas, and I adore it. I love it, I have a girl crush on it. I would have it’s babies if I could. I won’t say I’ll never take it off, because well, my love for skins is fickle and I know I’ll be attracted to the next shiny that comes along, but for now, this one has all my love.  For a mere 85L you can pick up this beautifully crafted skin with 3 different levels of gloss on the lips from matt to super glossy. This is the medium glossy, I bet you  would just love to see the super glossy! You also get all 3 with a cleavage option, which I’m not wearing in these photos. Get your fanny down  to Structure Your Skin and see how good Mystic Canvas can make you look. I know it won’t be the last skin I get from them.

My eyes are the prim version of the Candybox eyes from Aphotic Gloom‘s latest Aquilius Collection, the Coeur collection  which came out for Valentines Day, Coeur meaning Heart in French.  This collection has 4 eye colours in it, each as pretty as the last, each colour comes with regular eyes in large and normal, and a set a prim eyes. The box also contrains a set of white eyes to wear behind the prim eyes. His prim eyes are the easiest ones I’ve found to fit. They are just a slim film that go over the white eyes, and they are sizable so you can make them as large or small as you wish.

Photography Information –

These pictures were taken using the PNP Photo Studio version 3.0..which is probably the best 1500L I ever spent in SL. It’s made taking photos so much easier! It’s out and available for a try at Poses N Props

The photos today are taken on the background from the Missing Mile texture pack, background 15. This pack was on sale this weekend for 60L, along with 5 other packs. One of the great things about this studio is that the designers put out hundreds of backgrounds, 10 in a pack for only 100L. If you don’t need a specific back ground right away and are just looking to increase your collection, they have 6 sets on sale every weekend for 60L each, as well as 6 pose sets, although those are usually 2 person poses which aren’t good for me.

These are suspose to be off sale now but are still on sale as of writing this Sunday morning

Poses –

Photo 1 – Nancy 10 – Comes in Photo Studio

Photo 2 – Valerie 7 – The Valerie Poses were on 60L weekend sale this weekend from PNP…*happy dance*

Photo 3 – Jewelry 3  – This is a new runway pose from PNP …party of their new jewelry collection, it glides gracefully til it’s in this position..lovely pose.

Photo 4 – Jewelry 5 – This is also a runway jewelry pose, which moves elegantly until finishing with fingers by face to show your jewelry. I wish I could show it in motion.

These runway poses are 100L or the 6 pack for 500L, which are reasonable prices for runway poses. PNP have a lot of runway poses if you are looking for them, I know they can  be hard to find, but some can make great editions to AO’s as well as looking amazing on runways.

The Flawless Sim is having a 12 Days Of Christmas event and all the stores in the sim are having special Christmas Carts outside the stores where you can find special sale items and even some free or near free gifts.  Style By Kira is changing skins every day and putting one on near free. This is out right now and is called Nessima skin 02D and is 20L.

This shiny beauty of a dress is from 1 Hundred and is called Friday Night Red.  It’s on sale for 100L, and comes on all layers with a prim for the skirt. There is a lot of attention to detail in this dress. The skirt prim works wonderfully, I didn’t have to fiddle forever to find a pose that worked for it, it was hard to find a pose that didn’t work with it. I love the draping that is drawn on, which I imagine must be hard with a sparkly texture like this. Most designers have enough trouble with shadowing in a flat texture, let alone something where the play of light and dark is this complicated.

Besides, what matters the most is feeling, when I put this one, I just felt like putting on my Mandala nails and going dancing.  What more can you ask for in a party dress?

1 Hundred also has a Christmas gift all wrapped up in a pretty box for those that come shopping. It’s the pretty slit skirt I’m wearing in the photo above. It pairs perfectly with my Sn@tch Black and White Silky Cami.  Don’t forget to pick this gift up when you go to buy your little red dress.

This sexy lingerie is from Orquidea and is called Red Sheer Lingerie and is on sale for 100L.  I love all the perfect little details on this lingerie. The beautfully done line down the back. The transition line between the gripping lace at the top of the stocking to the regular stocking material. You see this on every real pair of stockings but rarely see it in SL stockings. The shoulders on this bra are perfectly matched…not a wiggle…not a millimeter out…and the strap thins as it goes around, as the lace moves to just elastic.  It might just be me, but the line between the satin and the lace on the bra gives it the illusion that the lace is almost a collar, which it isn’t, but I like the look. You can get cheaper lingerie out there, but they there aren’t many sets in SL that look like this. I almost made a quote about swinging at a cat and not hitting one, but fortunately I stopped..can’t get on the wrong side of Peta.

This is the first skin that Style By Kira put out at a discount, it’s now out for 200L, for those that didn’t get it the first day. Make sure you get there every day from now on so you don’t miss the rest of these great skins!

Non-sale items

Gos Pimp Your Pumps – Classic Platforms – Photo 3 – I love these shoes, you can wear them with stockings or just put them on and go without the worry of matching colour…come with a big assortment of different bows you can set with a wide variety of colours. 495 a shoe set. They have added colour palettes you can buy for just 100L each for 3 colours. Gos group members get 10% off.

Hair – Photo 1,2,3 – Likeli – Black Curly Fro – 195L – Wow…fantastic hair style, has now taken over as my favourite afro. I watched Chris Rock’s movie “Good Hair” and saw all those beautiful Black women paying horrid amounts of money to get weaves for straight hair, and here I come to SL to get a fantastic afros. I remember getting a perm when I was 16 to get a great Afro. Killed my hair and it fell out in buckets so I never did that again. Everyone always wants what they weren’t born with. Humans are contrary creatures.

Photo 2, 3 – Mandala Nail Palate 1 – Medium – These nails are fantastic – 70 different colours, they come in  4 hand sizes, 5 shapes, full bright on and off, everything you could ever want in nails for only 597L. Everyone I talked to said these are the best, and I haven’t seen anything to make me doubt that.

Hair – Photo 4,5 – Calico Ingmann Creations – Maggie Midnight Black – This short hair has wonderful movement and poof, for a lack of a better word.  It comes with a texture change hud, mirrored copy and optional streaks. Colour packs are 200L each, including my favourite the Calico Picks pack which has 20 different colours in it. The fatpack is 1,000L and contains all 19 packs most of which have at least 10 colours.

Eyes – The eyes I’m wearing in this photo set are from Aphotic Gloom called Buttercup. They are from his Clarus Collection which sells for 199L. I love all the eyes in this pack, they come in large and small, with prim and a special iris free eye, which I’m not sure what that is for..probably something to do with prim eyes which I haven’t switched to yet.  His eyes are a joy to wear because they aren’t subject to too many red spots or gray sides that seem to plague most eye makers. I get tired of looking like I have red eye half the time.
